It was the wake of the most recent Iranian Revolution when a friend asked me to write a brief article on the events taking place in Iran at the end of 2022 for Mud Magazine, a German publication on law and society. Having written my BA these on “The Veil in Iran,” I put together a very short account of the history of the revolution sparked by Mahsa Amini’s death.
